A vineyard at the heart of Provence
Cotignac and its area: exceptional natural site and historical monuments
Cotignac gathers the unchanging charm of old stone (cliffs and troglodyte house) and the Provencal playful way of life. You will enjoy discovering this idea of happiness in our region: Aups and its famous truffle market, Entrecastaux nestled against its castle and its garden shaped by Le Nôtre, the creator of Château de Versailles garden. You may also discover the famous port of Saint-Tropez.
Nature lovers will appreciate the numerous hiking tracks. Especially one of the most beautiful natural sites given by the nature: the lake of Sainte-Croix, the entrance door to the Gorges du Verdon. Kayaking on Grand Canyon crystal and fresh water is a classic of the Mediterranean summer!
Golf fans could play a round of golf in the Golf of Barbaroux, at only 20 minutes away from the vineyard.
The Clos de l’Ours is also the starting point of nice cultural exploration: the royal abbey of Saint-Maximin where Marie-Madeleine relics are conserved, the abbey of Thoronet where one of the most important medieval music festivals takes place every year, the Roman remains of Fréjus or the Granet museum, one of the many advantages of Aix-en-Provence.
